Koffi Arana - Page 2

A young Jedi stood on the Temple steps decrying the Emperor's new Empire and called on his fellow Knights in the crowd to meet this threat head on. As he charged the troopers in front of the Temple, he was cut down in a hail of gunfire. Symbolic of how such an approach would result, Koffi and the Jedi realized that the Empire had grow far too strong for them to confront now. Dismayed, the Jedi went their separate ways, conceding to the fact that their days as Jedi were over.

Some time later, Koffi Arana received word from a Jedi who had been with him in the crowd that day in front of the Jedi Temple, Shadday Potkin. She invited a number of Jedi to meet with her deep within the spice mines of Kessel to discuss the return of the Sith, the rise of the Empire, and the future of the Jedi Order. Deep within the mines, Koffi joined Jedi Knights Jastus Farr, Tsui Choi, Bultar Swan, Roblio Darte, Sia-Lan Wezz, and Ma'kis'shaalas. During the discussion Koffi expressed his rage regarding how the Jedi were manipulated and it was necessary to put together a plan for vengeance.

Such thoughts steered the conversation towards a discussion of the Dark Side and the Jedi found themselves in another philosophical debate regarding the use of such power. It was here that Shadday revealed her intentions for the meeting. Fearing that discussion was all that would result, Shadday took it upon herself to force the Jedi to face the problem head on. Allowing the news of the meeting to reach Darth Vader, Shadday set the Jedi up as bait with Vader on a rampage to find Obi-Wan Kenobi. Believing Kenobi to be at the meeting, the new Dark Lord of the Sith did not disappoint her.

Before the Jedi realized Shadday's plans it was too late as Darth Vader charged into the underground factory. Running was not an option and Koffi charged right in to meet the Dark Lord. As Jedi fell to Vader's blade, Koffi let his anger overcome his emotions. When Darth Vader feigned surrender Koffi charged in for the kill. However, Jedi Knight Bultar Swan held him back reminding him that, as Jedi, they could not take the life of one who had surrendered. In his rage, Koffi Arana killed Bultar as she attempted to take his lightsaber from him.
